Terms of use
Short, because there isn't much to say when nothing is being charged.
The software is free
Eatin POS is provided at no charge, with every feature included and no limit on users or terminals. There is no subscription, no licence fee and no paid tier.
What you may do with it
Use it to run your business — one restaurant or several, one till or many. Add as many staff accounts as you need.
What you're responsible for
- The accuracy of what you enter. The app calculates faithfully from your data. A purchase entered at the wrong rate produces a wrong margin, and that is arithmetic, not a defect.
- Your own records. Keeping backups of your server, and keeping the tax and accounting records the law requires of you.
- Your customers' data. See the privacy page.
- Your staff's access. Giving each person their own login and an appropriate role, and removing access when someone leaves.
No warranty
The software is provided as-is. It is used daily in real restaurants and is built to be dependable, but no guarantee is made that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit a particular purpose. Because it is provided free of charge, no liability is accepted for losses arising from its use — including lost sales, lost data or decisions taken on the basis of its figures.
That last point is worth reading in the spirit it is meant: check important numbers before acting on them, especially in your first weeks, while your recipes and opening figures are still settling.
Changes
The software will keep changing — screens get better, features get added. The commitment that matters is the one on the pricing page: what is free stays free, and your existing data will not be held hostage.
