Orders board

Every open ticket, grouped by where it has got to — in the kitchen, being prepared, ready, out for delivery. This is the screen the floor works from.

In the app: Sidebar → Sales → OrdersEvery feature described here is free.

What this screen is for

Once an order is created at the till, it lives here until it is paid for and closed. The board answers two questions all shift: what is the kitchen still working on? and which tables are ready to pay?

How to get here

Sidebar → SalesOrders, or the Orders button in the top bar of the till. The red badge on that button is the number of open orders.

The screen, part by part

It refreshes itself

The board reloads every 20 seconds on its own, so a screen left open in the kitchen or on the pass stays current with no one touching it. The refresh button beside the search box forces it immediately.

"Search order, guest or table" — matches the order number, the guest's name or the table.

Date range

A range picker with quick presets: Today · Yesterday · Last 7 days · This month.

Channel filter

All channels · Dine In · Take Away · Delivery. Useful when one person is running deliveries and wants only their own tickets.

Status columns

Orders are grouped under the status they have reached:

StatusMeaning
BookedHeld back — the kitchen has not been shown this yet
KitchenTicket sent, not started
PreparingBeing cooked
ReadyReady to serve or hand over
Out for DeliveryWith the rider
DeliveredDropped at the door — still needs billing
CompletedBilled and closed
CancelledKilled at any point
Note Not every order walks every rung. A dine-in ticket goes Kitchen → Preparing → Ready → Completed; a delivery goes on through Out for Delivery and Delivered. Each order carries its own ladder, and the button on the card always shows the correct next step.

The order card

Each ticket shows the order number, the guest, the table or channel, the items, and:

  • Ticket age — how long it has sat since it last moved, as 12m or 1h 04m.
  • Late tickets turn red once they have gone 15 minutes without moving.
  • A line the kitchen has not been shown yet is marked, so late additions are obvious.
  • The action button — the next step in this order's own ladder. On the last rung it reads as billing instead, and opens the bill window.
  • — the menu: jump straight to any status in the ladder, or cancel.

Settling a bill

Press the billing button on a card and the Bill window opens:

  • The full order with its total.
  • Waive service charge — a switch, when a service charge was applied.
  • DELIVERY CHARGE — editable on delivery orders.
  • Amount received, with Full and Pending shortcuts.
  • PAYMENT METHOD — Cash or Bank, and which BANK account.

Confirm and the order moves to Completed, the receipt prints, and the money lands where you said.

Step by step

Working the pass

  1. Leave the board open in the kitchen on the Today preset.
  2. Tap the action button as each ticket moves: Kitchen → Preparing → Ready.
  3. Watch for red — anything red has sat 15 minutes.

Closing a table

  1. Find the ticket (search the table name).
  2. Press the billing button.
  3. FullCash → confirm. Done.

Cancelling

  1. on the card → Cancel.
  2. Cancelled orders stay on the record — nothing is deleted, so the count still reconciles at the end of the day.

Good to know

  • An order is not money until it is billed. Open orders show on the Dashboard as Owed on Bills, not as sales.
  • Completed and cancelled are final. Nothing can be added to an order sitting on either.
  • Items added to an existing order print a fresh kitchen ticket with only the new lines on it.
