Tables

Your floor, in the app. Which tables exist, how many they seat, which section they are in, and which are busy right now.

In the app: Sidebar → Sales → TablesEvery feature described here is free.

What this screen is for

Two jobs: setting the floor up once, and reading it during service.

How to get here

Sidebar → SalesTables. During service, the Tables button in the till's top bar shows the same floor and lets you seat the order you are building.

The screen, part by part

Section filter

All sections, or one section — Main Hall, Terrace, Family Room, Rooftop. Sections are free text: type a new one on any table and it appears here.

Finds a table by name.

Table cards

Each card shows the table name, its section, its seat count and a status tag:

TagMeaning
FreeOn the floor, nothing open on it
BusyAn order is running on this table — its status is shown too
RetiredTaken off the floor, kept for history

A busy table also shows the order's kitchen status, so you can see at a glance which tables are still waiting on food.

Actions on a card

  • Edit — change name, section, seats, order.
  • Retire — take it off the floor without deleting it.
  • Delete — remove it completely. A table with history attached cannot be deleted; the app tells you and offers to retire it instead.

Adding a table

Press Add Table and fill in:

Step by step

Setting the floor up

  1. Add Table for each real table.
  2. Give everything in one room the same Section spelling — the filter groups on exact text.
  3. Use Sort Order to match the walking order of the room, so staff find tables where they expect them.

Seating an order

  1. In New Sale, press Tables in the top bar.
  2. Tap a free table. The order is now seated there.
  3. Or pick it from the TABLE dropdown on the order panel.

Opening what a table already has

Tap a Busy table from the till's Tables panel and its running order loads, ready for more items.

Good to know

  • Only dine-in orders take a table. Take away and delivery do not.
  • Retire, do not delete. Retiring keeps every past bill attached to the table; deleting is only for a table added by mistake.
  • Seat counts are for your own reference — the app does not stop you seating six at a four-top.
