Setup hub

The launch pad for everything you configure once — company records on top, and the settings that belong to this particular computer underneath.

In the app: Sidebar → SetupEvery feature described here is free.

What this screen is for

Setup splits into two halves, and the split matters:

  • Company & Records — shared by everybody, stored on the server.
  • This Computer — saved in this browser only, so each till can behave differently.

How to get here

Sidebar → Setup.

Company & Records

Five cards, each opening its own screen:

CardWhat it covers
Company InfoName, logo, NTN and contact details — what prints on every invoice. See Settings
TeamThe people who can sign in, and what each is allowed to do. See Team
Opening StockQuantities and costs you were already holding when you started. See Opening Stock
Opening BalanceWhat customers owed you and what you owed suppliers on day one. See Opening Balance
My AccountYour own profile and sign-in details. See My Account

This Computer

Note These four are stored in this browser. Change them on the counter till and the manager's laptop is unaffected — which is exactly what you want when one prints receipts and the other does not.

Choose what a bill prints as:

OptionUse it for
Thermal Receipt (3 inch / 80mm)The counter roll printer. Raw ESC/POS through QZ Tray
A5 Invoice (half page)A proper invoice on A5, through the browser's print dialog
A4 Invoice (full page)A full-page invoice on A4

Receipt Printer

  • Printer — which physical printer receipts go to. Refresh re-reads the list from QZ Tray.
  • Kitchen ticket printer — leave empty to use the same printer; set it to send tickets to the kitchen instead.
  • Receipt style — how the printed receipt is laid out.

Full detail in Printing.

Booking Alerts

Warn me — how many minutes before a booking is due the till should be alerted. The watcher runs wherever you are in the app, not only on the Bookings screen.

Appearance

Dark mode — a switch, remembered on this computer. Worth turning on for a kitchen screen at night.

Step by step

Setting up a new till

  1. Open Setup on that computer.
  2. Print FormatThermal Receipt.
  3. Receipt PrinterRefresh, pick the counter printer.
  4. Kitchen ticket printer → the kitchen printer.
  5. Booking Alerts → a lead time that gives the kitchen a fair warning.

Setting up the office laptop

Same screen, but Print FormatA4 Invoice and no thermal printer. The two machines now behave differently on purpose.

Good to know

  • A new computer starts with defaults. Setting up a replacement till means walking this section again — it is a two-minute job, not a reinstall.
  • Company & Records changes are seen by everyone immediately.
